2018 has been a successful and busy year at Learning For Humanity Alliance. 800 children and 23 teachers in Hwange, Zimbabwe now have the educational resources they need. The teachers report increased attendance, improved performance and higher levels of motivation.
The photo shows a St. Mary’s grade six teacher using Tusitawi eLearning Platform. The teacher has a tablet in her hands which allows direct access to the thousands of resources for this grade six class. The tablet projects to the television, allowing the teacher complete freedom to walk around, engaging her students.
In 2019 we are bringing our Tusitawi e-Learning System to the Choma district in Zambia. Tusitawi is Kiswahili for Let Us Flourish. Choma is one of the poorest areas in Zambia, Tusitawi will be installed in eight primary schools and four secondary schools providing quality learning materials to students and teachers.
These schools are run by the Brethren in Christ Church Zambia. The Bishop, Charles Nseemani, has appealed for assistance in providing quality and useful education.
Please consider giving a child the gift of education this holiday season, e-cards are available if you wish to make a donation in someone else’s name.
Happy Holidays!!! From the Learning for Humanity team, we wish you a happy holiday season and a happy 2019!
